There are many steps you can take now to increase your safety, both online and off. Join the group Monday, Feb. 17, to learn more as we meet at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 22 Fisher Road in Brevard.

Apple computer users meet from 10 until 11:15 a.m. while iPad and iPhone users meet from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

Democrats

Candidate Forum and 2020 Precinct Meetings. Brevard High School Auditorium, Feb. 15, from 12:30-3 p.m.

Primary candidates for District 11, District 48, District 113 and local candidates will be in attendance, offering all registered Democrats and Unaffiliated Voters an opportunity to hear their views for the upcoming primary election on March 3.

This will be followed by the annual meetings for the following precincts: Brevard 1, Brevard 3, Brevard 4, Cathey’s Creek, Cedar Mountain, Dunn’s Rock, East Fork, Pisgah Forest, Rosman-Eastatoe, TC7 and Williamson Creek. Contact Transylvania County Democrats at (828) 877-5225 for more information.

Democratic Headquart ers Grand Opening and Chili Cook-Off. Feb. 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., 326/324 S. Broad St., all Democrats and Unaffiliated voters are invited to attend this “Get Out the Vote” Chili Cook-Off for the best Democratic chili in our county. The chili promises to be as varied as our primary candidates. There will also be a silent auction for sumptuous cakes and pies.

This fundraiser for the new headquarters will offer voters a chance to mingle with local and state candidate representatives.

Donations will be accepted at the door.
