Jessie McCoy Owen Talley, 89, of Salem, S.C., wife of the late R. Clyde Talley, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at Cottingham Hospice House.

Born April 30, 1930, in Transylvania County, she had resided in Salem since 1966.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Hampton, of Balsam Grove, Jan Rainey (Kenny), of Albuquerque, N.M., Rosemary Littleton (Mike), of Salem, and Gayle Rice, also of Salem; sisters, Carolyn Eubanks, of Brevard; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, her parents, Joseph G. and Elsie Brooks McCoy; first husband, David Walker Owen; two grandsons, Jeremy Littleton and Christopher Hampton; sons-in-law, Jerry Parkison, Doug Hampton, and Darrell Rice; and eight siblings, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at Davenport Funeral Home.

Burial was held at 4 p.m., Monday, at Mack McCall Cemetery in Lake Toxaway.

The family received friends from 1-2 p.m., Monday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem First Baptist Church, Benevolence Fund, 151 Crestwood Dr., Salem, SC 29676, or Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Dr., Seneca, SC 29672.

The family is at their respective homes.
