Store Site Is In A Flood Plain

The proposed Dollar General site is a cornfield in a flood plain in front of a historic country church on a designated scenic byway. Two objections come to mind. First, scenic byways draw visitors who spend money local shopkeepers, restaurants and inns depend upon. Clutter the scenic byway with “small box stores” and that value is lost, along with the income generated by it.
