Brevard Author Revisits Notorious Murder Cases – Brevard, NC

When Brevard author Pamela Blevins was the editor of the Weymouth News in Weymouth, Mass., she wrote a series of feature articles about old murder cases in the town: Maria Bickford in 1845, Frances Tirrell in 1860 and Grayce Asquith in 1936.

"Back in the late '70s and early '80s, we published these stories in an old-fashioned serial form over three or four issues," Blevins recalled. "Each time we featured one, every copy of the newspaper sold out."
