Robinson: Homeless Youth Shelter Needed – Brevard, NC

With the help of softball, Brevard local Micky Robinson has been raising money to build a shelter for homeless young people ages 13 to 24 called the Isaac Homes Youth Shelter (IHYS).

Robinson was inspired to begin the project three years ago while working on a ministry involving the distribution of backpacks filled with supplies for underprivileged kids.

The preacher at Morningside Baptist Church put in a request for 130 backpacks, because, he told Robinson, there were, at that time, 130 homeless kids in Transylvania County.
