Little Mountain Litter Bug

February 24, 2020

I’m certain anyone who travels up “little mountain” (Highway 280) has noticed the huge amount of trash littering the side of the highway. Unfortunately, much of it is being left by an individual who dumps small bags of garbage on the road. Once the bag is hit by a car the contents fly everywhere. Most recently bags are in the grass on the side of the road. Littering is punishable with a fine of $250 - $1,000 and community service.

The Sheriff’s Department is aware of this problem and they are on the lookout for the offender. Thank you to them for their efforts. If anyone observes this happening it would be helpful to get a license plate number to share with the Sheriff’s Department.
