Philharmonic Changes Venues For 'Sensational Strings'

Listening to the Brevard Philharmonic in its normal concert hall setting is an enveloping, impressive experience. However, for its Sunday, March 15, performance, the venue will be smaller. When concert-goers take their seats inside the Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m., the musicians will be feet from the audience, close enough to touch. Up close and personal, the orchestra's chamber ensemble of violins, violas, cellos and basses will perform pieces by Handel, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Holst.
