Brevard High Students Take Top Honors

At Western Regional Science & Enginnering Fair

Ivy Scott (left) and Josie Troyer (right) won first place in the Senior Earth and Environmental Science Division and the WCU Special Award in Environmental Science. They and other regional winners will advance to state competition.

Brevard High School students once again came away with the lion's share of awards at the Region 8 Western Regional Science & Engineering Fair held on Feb. 13 and 14 in the Ramsey Regional Activity Center at Western Carolina University.

The Western Regional Science Fair is the largest STEM (Science, Techno-logy, Engineering and Mathematics) event held in western North Carolina.

The following students from Brevard High, their projects, categories and awards are as follows:
