Editor’s Note: Mayor Jimmy Harris and Brevard Council were contacted for comment about the Depot Railroad Avenue Park. Only Councilwoman Geraldine Dinkins didn’t respond, as of going to press.
Mayor Jimmy Harris: This project is a “win” for this community as it rightfully honors the past history of what helped develop this community years ago.
Having a public facility, which includes public restrooms, will greatly enhance that area of town as it fulfills a promise made by a past council (2008) to have at least one public amenity in every neighborhood.
