Earl L. Arnette, of Sebastian, Fla., gently passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the age of 82, following a battle with cancer.

Born in Belmont, N.C., he spent most of his life as a resident of Transylvania County, before retiring to the coast of south Florida. Upon graduation from Brevard High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and spent three years in Germany, returning to Brevard after his service concluded.

He joined the Olin Corporation in March 1961 and worked over 30 years before retiring.

He was a doting father and provided outstanding support and opportunity to his children, leaving behind a lasting lesson on what it means to be father. He will be forever honored and missed by his children and loved ones.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley Whitmire Arnette; parents, Arlie Willis Arnette and Cora Arnette; sisters, Arretta Strickland, Arlene London, Maxine Sisk, Gladys Hunter, and Peggy Gee; and brothers, Carl, Clayton, Fred, and William.

Survivors include a son, Shawn Arnette, of Lawrenceville, Ga .; daughters, Hollis Arnette, of Brevard, and Susan Arnette, of Florida; wife, Pam, and stepdaughter, Jessie, of the home; grandchildren, Cole, Brinsley, Brianna, and Nani; half-brothers, Willis and Michael, of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request, no services will be held.
