The Cradle of Forestry in America will delay the opening of the 2020 season until further notice to protect public health and align with guidance from State of North Carolina health officials and experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Cradle of Forestry is operated in partnership between the longstanding non-profit, FIND Outdoors, formally known as the Cradle of Forestry in America Interpretive Association, and the USDA Forest Service.

"Together we are monitoring the situation related to the coronavirus pandemic and making the best decisions possible to ensure the health of our employees, volunteers and the public. We look forward to welcoming visitors from near and far back to the Cradle as soon as conditions allow," said Devin Gentry, director of the Cradle of Forestry.

As this ever-changing situation evolves, visit http://www.cradleofforestry.com for updates on when the Cradle will open to the public, the 2020 event schedule, interpretive programs and exhibits.

The Cradle of Forestry is located on U.S. 276 in the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard, 6 miles North of Looking Glass Falls and 4 miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
