No Injuries In Plane Wreck

The pilot said a gust of wind caused his plane to wreck Thursday.

No one was injured after emergency services responded to a plane crash at 11:26 a.m., Thursday, at Transylvania Community Airport.

According to a statement given to N.C. Highway Patrol from the aircraft's 67-year-old pilot, Brian Leverson, a gust of wind lifted the aircraft's left wing while he was landing the plane.

Leverson was not injured in the accident.

N.C. Highway Patrol first Sgt. David B. Williams said Leverson's statement was that the crash occurred while the plane was landing.
