Concerned About Camps Opening

I am concerned that the comments of County Commissioner Lemel in the article of April 9, “Summer Camps Hoping To Open,” present an inaccurate view of the threat to campers and the community of the COVID-19 virus.
To note that the camps stayed open during the polio outbreaks of the last century has little relevance to our current situation. Polio was a fecal borne disease and good hygiene minimized spread. Our current virus is communicated through the air; whether or not campers in bunk beds sleep head to toe will have little effect on potential spread when there are eight or 10 child...
