A Potential Source Of Good

Last week my wife and I were at Ingles around 1 p.m. in the afternoon. We were surprised to see the atmosphere being relatively calm. Most of the shelves were full, and we saw the employees working really hard to replenish the items. I want to take this time to thank Ingles and their employees for doing such a great job in the community at this time of crisis.
This is also a time that is teaching us to care for all our neighbors in the larger Brevard community. This is showing us that we are all in this together. The action of any one of us has the potential to impact the rest of us either in a positive or negative way.
The virus has now spread in almost all of our communities in the nation. The only way to mitigate a very large impact from this is to adhere to social distancing and spending as much time as we can at home with family.
What an amazing gift this is to be able to spend more time with our spouse and children. This has the potential to bring more harmony to our family life.
Since a large portion of the U.S. population in major cities are working from home, it has the potential to address climate change without much sacrifice on anyone’s part. Perhaps this will show us a way out of a major crisis looming in the horizon that most of us cannot see clearly.
Most people engaged in high tech jobs (and other jobs as well) can perform their job from home using the broadband technology that is available today. This will enable the companies to hire people from all over the nation and hence bring great-paying jobs to all the corners of this nation. People can live where they love to, rather than live where the company is, which is in most cases does not offer a very enjoyable living condition. Just imagine no traffic ever to deal with in life!
