Right Decision Will Still Hurt

The Brevard Music Center Board of Trustees made the right decision for the right reason when its members voted unanimously on April 4 to cancel this summer’s music festival.
The decision was based wholly on consideration of the health of the community. Public health took unquestionable precedence over generating revenue.
If the music festival would have gone on, it might have become a toxic brew ripe for COVID-19. This year the camp would have had approximately 600 students. Those young, apparently healthy students would have come from Asia and Europe, as well as numerous states, includ...
