Last Friday night my family was out on the porch, eating popcorn and enjoying the show in the western sky. As it got dark, I began to notice a light high up in the maple my daughter long ago named Mr. Tree. It’s just beginning to bud out, so there was still a lot of sky visible through those small leaves swaying in the breeze. Was I seeing the light of a plane high overhead or a planet peaking through those moving leaves?
John pointed out the tiny crescent moon. Then my daughter asked, “Am I crazy or are those fireflies in the tree?”
