Last Thursday afternoon, Gov. Roy Cooper extended the stay-at-home order from April 29 until next Friday, May 8. The decision was based on compliance with the federal guidelines announced earlier this month.

Dr. Mandy Cohen, head of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services NCDHHS), gave detailed explanations as to where North Carolina is in following the federal guidelines.
