Closures

•Gorges State Park is still closed, but plans to reopen park trails and restrooms on May 13.

•DuPont State Recreational Forest is still closed to the public, and officials are working on a plan to reopen.

•Ivestor Gap, Daniel Ridge Loop, Looking Glass Rock, Slick Rock Falls, Cat Gap, North Face, the Art Loeb (Davidson River to Joel Branch FSR 5002 and Black Balsam Road FSR 816 to Camp Daniel Boone, Moore Cove, Campground Connector, Mt. Pisgah, Graveyard Ridge, Graveyard Fields, Upper Falls, Mountains to Sea Access, Shining Creek, John Rock, Rainbow Falls, Sunwall, Hardtimes Gap and Deer Lake Lodge and FSR 491 are closed to all users until August 13 or forest order 08-11-07-20-071 is rescinded.

•All dispersed camping is temporarily shut down in Pisgah temporarily.

•Avery Creek Road (FSR 477), Lickstone Road (FSR 97), Courthouse Creek Road (140), Pilot Mountain Road (229), Headwaters Road (FSR 475B), Bent Creek Road (479), Powhatan Access Road (FSR 481), Black Balsam Road (816), Yellow Gap Road (1206) and Wash Creek Road (5000) are closed to all users temporarily.

•Looking Glass Falls recreation area is closed.

•Pink Beds recreation area is closed.

•Coontree recreation area is closed.

•Trailhead facilities and other access points to the Appalachian Trail are closed to the public.

•All public facilities in Pisgah National Forest are closed including picnic pavilions, shooting ranges and restrooms.

•Sliding Rock in Pisgah National Forest is closed.

•Off Highway Vehicle trail systems in Pisgah National Forest are temporarily shut down.

•All Pisgah National Forest Campgrounds are closed. This does not include dispersed campsites at the moment.

•All backcountry campsites are closed on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

•Tree down on Brushy Creek Trail

•Trees down on upper Black Mountain Trail

•Tree down on Butter Gap Trail

•Tree down on Turkey Pen Trailhead

•Avoid traffic on Bennett Gap on the section below Coontree as trail work is underway

•Several trees down on lower Horse Cove Gap

•Two trees down on Cantrell Creek Trail

•Tree down on Butter Gap Trail

•Tree down on Fletcher Creek Trail

•Trees down on Vineyard Gap Trail

•Tree down across road on South Ridge Road near Sleepy Gap Trail

•Long Branch Trail overgrown and washed out in spots

•Trees down on Wagon Road Gap Trail

•Multiple trees down on Never Ending Road in Mills River
