Here’s a fact you should know about Sam Edney, candidate for N.C. House District 113. Sam was born and raised in Western North Carolina and is the product of the quality public education that was available to him throughout his formative years. The education he received helped him become a successful businessman and community activist who constantly works for the betterment of all. Sam is committed to affording all children in this state, from early education on up, the same opportunity to learn and become thriving members of their communities.

North Carolina has fallen behind most other states in this country in committing resources and policies to assure high-quality education for children at all levels of schooling. This hurts kids as individuals, yes, but it also means that employers will look elsewhere when seeking a skilled labor force for the jobs of the 21st century. It’s a competitive world and Sam has watched in dismay as the majority in Raleigh has hurt our children by cutting money for their schools. He aims to reverse that trend and restore this state’s commitment to public education.

If you value excellent public education and believe it is an imperative, as I do, then you should vote for Sam Edney for N.C. House District 113.
