Hair Salons Adjusting To New Normal-Brevard NC

As hair salons reopen during Phase Two of Gov. Roy Cooper's May 22 executive order allowing for easing of restrictions, local salon owners are adjusting to more meticulous ways of operating their businesses based on those limitations.

The regulations include a limited occupancy of salons of no more than 50 percent of the stated fire capacity, or 12 people per 1,000 square feet if there is not a fire code number readily available, with people required to stay 6 feet away from each other and for stylists to wear a mask.
