Event Highlights Racial Injustice, Need To Vote-Brevard NC

The Transylvania Chapter of the NAACP led a public demonstration in front of the Transylvania County Courthouse Monday evening as a part of its "Morality Monday" series to protest systemic racism and its harmful impacts on the black community.

The NAACP has held Morality Monday protests off and on over the last few years, but recently, in the wake of George Floyd's death, the protests have been specifically directed at police brutality, and, more broadly, the many ways in which racism is still harming black people in the United States.
