De Facto Racism

In the past few weeks we have received letters about whether or not there is systemic racism in this country.
There is no doubt that racism has been systemic for the majority of American history. De jure racism, racism “by law,” existed from the time slaves were brought to this country in the 1600s until the Civil Rights Acts of the mid-1960s.
