Local Dog Owners Say They're 'Thrilled' To See Dog Park Coming To Fruition -Brevard NC

When Katinka and Rodney Remus began generating public interest in a dog park in Brevard in 2014, Katinka remembered looking down at her 2-year-old Westie, Talley, to proclaim they were getting her a dog park.

Now 8 years old, Talley will be able to see it happen.

"Finally," she said. "We are thrilled."

Both Katinka and Rodney, along with Kent and Cathy Heuser and Jill Murray (now Brevard city clerk), spearheaded the project by setting up meetings, speaking in Brevard City Council meetings and setting up donation boxes in various establishments, from which Rodney would collect and roll th...
