MacDonald Moves On After Being At DuPont Forest's Beginnings

Former DuPont State Recreational Forest ranger Bruce MacDonald has worked with the N.C. Forest Service in some capacity since he was a student at Warren Wilson College in the 1980s.

Now, he is retiring to work with the Asheville company Advanced Composting Technologies, but said he won't soon forget his decades of working at DuPont.

After graduating college, MacDonald joined the N.C. Forest Service working a temporary job at Holmes Educational State Forest, which is adjacent to where the DuPont land exists today. He then was hired as a permanent employee at Holmes in 1993 and at DuPont...
