Thoughts On Slavery And Monuments

Slavery is not confined to just the African race.
Slavery dates back as far as the first civilization, around 3,500 BC. If people remember history and the Code of Hammurabi, slavery was featured in it as an established institution.
When this country was founded, slavery was prevalent and the norm for those that could afford it.
None of this makes it right, whether they were good to their slaves or not. But slavery is a historical fact. It cannot be erased.
Symbols erected to slavery and those are a constant reminder of slavery, e.g. Confederate flags, should not be on display on gov...
