Commissioners Support Splitting CARES Act Funding – Transylvania County, NC

Transylvania County commissioners have approved splitting $369,199 of state funding evenly between the town of Rosman and city of Brevard.

Commissioners approved the funding during their regular meeting Monday. The funding comes from the CARES Act, which was approved by the state in May to deal with the COVID-19 impact.

The state earmarked $150 million to be distributed to counties. Transylvania County received $809,000, with 25 percent to be given to municipalities.
