Reopening Plan Is Reasonable

The decision by Gov. Roy Cooper that schools should reopen next month under Plan B, which calls for both in-person and online instruction, is the most prudent one at this time.
Plan A, which called for all students to attend school in-person, is too dangerous at this time. The number of COVID-19 cases, the percentage of postive tests and the hospitalization are all increasing. Under these circumstances, it would not be wise to compel all students in the state to return to the classroom because it would increase the chance of spreading the coronavirus among students, teachers and staff.
