What is the status of the city of Brevard’s purchase of the property at the intersection of East Probart, North Broad and East Apple streets?
“Brevard City Council approved the purchase of the property in June when we had our public hearing,” said City Manager Jim Fatland. “When you borrow money for real estate in North Carolina, you need to have Local Government Commission approval, so it’s on the agenda for the Local Government Commission to approve the loan on Aug. 4. The closing date is going to be Aug. 6, to purchase it.
