County's Jobless Rate At 6 Percent In June – Transylvania County, NC

Transylvania County’s jobless rate in June was 6 percent, down from 10.1 percent the previous month, according to preliminary figures from the state Department of Commerce.
The local jobless numbers only take into account those who qualify for unemployment benefits and have not been seasonally adjusted.
The statewide rate in June was 7.9 percent, down from 12.7 percent the previous month.
Jobless rates decreased in all of the state’s 100 counties in June.
Duplin County had the lowest jobless rate in June at 5.4 percent, while Scotland County had the highest at 11.5 percent.
