Notice of Public Hearing City of Brevard Independent Living at Tore's Home Planned Development District

The Brevard City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 17, 2020. The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible in the Multipurpose Chambers, Transylvania County Administration Building located at 101 South Broad Street, Brevard, NC to consider the following:
Proposed amendment to the City of Brevard Official Zoning Map creating the Independent Living at Tore’s Home Planned Development District to construct a mixed-use project consisting of approximately 188 dwelling units, a community building, office buildings, daycare, and associated site and infrastructure improvements. The subject properties are located along Deerlake Road, approximately 550 feet west of its intersection with Asheville Highway, within the corporate limits of the City of Brevard.
The Public Hearing format will be revised to comply with Governor Roy Cooper’s Emergency Orders issued in response to the COVID19 pandemic. The meeting room will not accommodate more than one speaker at a time, but you may submit your comments any time between the publication of this Notice and the expiration of the twenty-four hour period following the public hearing, which will be closed subject to the receipt of such comments received.
