People in western North Carolina attach great importance to their families and good friends. These are folks they spend a great deal of time with, planning their futures and reminiscing about important memories. They often share common values. They may disagree sometimes, perhaps very strongly, but what binds them together is stronger than what might divide them. They celebrate together in times of joy and success. They provide support in times of grief or crisis. They have our backs.
