Historical sign #9, from The African American Storyline Project, is posted on the side of what once was "Mr. Jip's Store." It is a blue house off Mills Avenue in Brevard that is currently a rental.
Once upon a time, it was a store owned and run by Jip Mills. From 1917 to about 1956, if you were alive, you could have frequented the grocery store and for a whopping five cents each you could buy sugar, baloney and large bags of candy.
