Work Returns River Section To Natural Habitat

A popular section of the Davidson River is now enhanced thanks to work from the Pisgah and Rocky River chapters of Trout Unlimited, along with the U.S. Forest Service and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.

The project was completed Aug. 7, after a week of work, and, according to Tim Schubmehl with Pisgah Trout Unlimited, he hopes it will be the first of several stream enhancement projects on the Davidson.

"We're all hoping that people see the results, appreciate the results and when we conceive the next project that it will help us in the fundraising effort," Schubmehl said...
