The Shop of St. Philip's announces its opening date for the fall season. After summer clearance sales, cleaning of the shop, and re-stocking with new donations and fall clothing, the shop will open on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. Regular hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The shop is located at 219 S. Caldwell St. in Brevard.

Known as an "upscale resale" shop, the volunteers at the Shop of St. Philip's take care to ensure that items for sale are clean, fashionable and in excellent condition. The shop sells kitchen and household items, art and home décor, furniture, toys, books and linens as well as clothing, shoes and accessories.

The shop is owned and operated by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of St. Philip's Church. Thanks to donations from the community, and shoppers who frequent the shop, they are able to give substantial grants each year to local nonprofits who assist women and children in Transylvania County.

Donations are accepted during business hours (Thursday – Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.), at the door at the rear of the left side of the building.

All staff are wearing masks, and customers are asked to do the same. Common areas are sanitized regularly throughout the day. Additional parking is available in the upper lot behind the building.

The Shop of St. Philip's is run entirely by volunteers, both members of St. Philip's and other community members. It is one of the many outreach missions of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Brevard. For questions or more information about the shop, call 884-9660.
