Families of residents at the College Walk Retirement Community gathered on Friday morning to form a parade of encouragement and well wishes to their loved ones.

"Before the summer comes to a close, we wanted to celebrate with a fun and an exciting parade, where the families and residents could interact at a safe distance," said Valerie Tilson, the activity director for College Walk. "Besides, who doesn't love a parade?"

With the extension of Phase 2 until Sept. 11, senior living facilities continue under strict quarantine regulations.
