CDC Change Hurts Recovery

The announcement last week by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) that people who have been exposed to COVID-19 but present no symptoms “do not necessarily need a test” is not only a reversal from the previous policies, but it also will extend the COVID-19 pandemic and delay our economic recovery.
Previously, the CDC had recommended that anyone with a “recent known or suspected exposure” to COVID-19 should get tested due to “the potential for asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission.”
