Elements Spa has been offering health and healing for over 16 years to those seeking solace from the busy world, according to a press release.

It has been under the guidance of Patti Beggs and her staff of therapists that Elements has made its mark as a trusted sanctuary of wellness, the release said. After years of service Beggs is retiring and moving on to her next adventure, writing a book on wellness and balance, leaving her legacy to the hands and hearts of Maddy Aper and Gretchen Hogan.

Aper has been an employee of Elements Spa since June 2019 and has been in the industry of holistic healing since 2008. She brings many gifts to the spa that will enhance and build upon the foundation that Beggs has created, the release said. As a therapist she is in continuous study of healing traditions, both of ancient and modern wisdom. Her passions have led her to study upledger craniosacral therapy, ayurvedic wellness, herbalism, astrology, reiki and sound healing, Thai massage, and yoga and somatic Therapy. In April of 2021 she will begin studying deeper theories of esalen massage. Aper is a self-proclaimed student of life, the release said.

Hogan is a woman of many talents, ranging from business consultant to permaculture gardener. Her passion for combining community building with the celebration of life can be seen through her work as a teacher of yoga and meditation, offered freely through her online platform, YOGANOW, at http://www.vimeo.com/yoganow. Hogan continues to develop her talents at keeping this ancient practice sacred for a modern world. Her skills as a women of business include work as a professional accountant, financial director and fractional CFO in a range of companies, most recently serving local outdoor company SylvanSport in its expansion and launch of outdoor products nationwide. In each of her endeavors, she brings knowledge of wellness into her position and creates an environment that focuses on the holistic integrity of each business.

As Aper and Hogan expand and create their vision of Elements Wellness Spa they will offer more services at the forefront of the ongoing evolution of the wellness industry.

"There couldn't be a better time to offer alternative healing options for our community" Hogan said.

This will begin with services that are deeply healing but honor the need for limited contact due to the state of events. To further support the community, they will be launching an intimate tea house and apothecary serving wellness tonics and herbal formulations all with specific health benefits. Plans for 2021 include halotherapy for respiratory health, best known as salt caves, as well as floatation therapy for sensory repair. They will begin to host classes and workshops and work toward offsite retreats that weave both ancient and modern healing modalities together.

Beyond business, Hogan and Aper are longtime friends, fellow mothers, and share a passion for health, wellness and spirituality.

"We are truly honored to contribute to the ever-growing wellness of this glorious community," Asper said.

"When asked how she feels about turning over the keys to Aper and Hogan, Beggs said, " I have been honored to be a part of health and wellness in Brevard, and I know in handing over the keys to Maddy and Gretchen that these two amazing women will continue to be the best in wellness care for our community."
