Don't Fix What's Not Broken

Elected Brevard officials are confronted with a proposal to change the zoning for a large parcel of property adjoining the Dear Lake Community to allow for higher density housing and mix use business.

In this case doing what is right is easy because the current zoning is appropriate; thus, no need to “fix” it.

The main access to Brevard on the Asheville Highway is already traffic clogged with fast food, gas stations, car washes and lots of blacktop. I observe business turnover due to competition and a limited appetite for repetitive goods or services.
