While Labor Day traditionally marks the “unofficial end of summer,” returning to school, kicking off autumn sports seasons, and ubiquitous fall sales, the original intent of this federal day of observance is often disregarded: to acknowledge the efforts American workers have made — and continue to make — to build the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country.
