South Beyond 6,000 Challenge Perfect For Fall Hiking

As the temperatures begin to cool in the coming months, we start entering that annual period of hiking where the trails are littered with leaves of all colors, and the naked trees allow us to see more from atop our favorite ridgelines.

Normally, fall is when I transition out of my waterfall hiking and really start going after longer, cool days on trails or heading to the tops of my favorite mountains for massive, sweeping views of Appalachia.
