Habitat Hobbits Build A Playhouse To Support Affordable Housing – Transylvania County, NC

Transylvania Habitat for Humanity has announced a new fundraiser to support its mission of building affordable homes for low-income families in Transylvania County.

Habitat is holding a silent auction for a whimsical 8-foot by 10-foot Hobbit House.

Construction manager Mike Krauter and a few Habitat volunteers built the 2020 Hobbit House with culled material donated by Jennings Builders Supply and Hardware. Extra materials needed were funded by a micro-grant from Thrivent Financial.
