Last week when Gov. Roy Cooper announced that school systems could hold full-time classes for kindergarten through fifth grade as early as Oct. 5, some school systems announced immediately they would reopen those grades fully on that date. There apparently was little input from teachers or parents as to their concerns or hopes. Parents in some systems have not been informed how Plan A will be safely implemented.
