The Sept. 20 edition of the Asheville Citizen Times had an article and headline, “Why are the majority of NC superintendents men?” N.C. has 115 school districts and only 31 have female superintendents.
Transylvania County has been blessed with outstanding school superintendents through the years but only one female, Dr. Sonna Lyda.
