Yard Sale

There will be a yard sale at the Balsam Grove Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. until noon. Be sure to wear a mask and to practice social districting.

Bingo And Jam Session

There will not be any bingo or jam sessions at the Balsam Grove Community Center for the remainder of 2020. We miss everyone and hope that all of you stay well. Hopefully, we will open back up in March 2021.

God’s Way Food Pantry

We are no longer able to allow after hours pick-up. Food Pantry is every other Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The next food pantry will be open Oct. 17 for drive-thru only. If you are sick or unable to come, call to have someone to pick food up for you. Blessings to David, Lydia and staff.

Census

The census has been extended until Oct. 31. If you haven’t done yours yet, do, as this is very important. We could be losing money for roads, schools and other important things. There will be someone at the God’s Way Food Pantry on Saturday, Oct. 17, to help you with it or call Carol Gardner at 884-8247 or go online and complete the form. It only takes a few minutes.

Wi-Fi At The Community Center

The Balsam Grove Community Club is suspending its scheduled Wi-Fi for Students times until further notice. If any student needs access to Wi-Fi they can still access it in the parking lot close to the brick building. Also, they can contact Carol Gardner at 884-6247 if they need to schedule a time during the school day or need more information.

Balsam Grove Playground

The Balsam Grove playground at the community center is open at this time. Just be sure to check for bees and practice safety by wearing a mask and social distancing. Be sure to wash your hands before entering the playground and after leaving the playground.

Notice

This is just a reminder. If you have donations from your yard sales, contact an officer of the community club to meet you at the community center to put it in the building. Items get ruined if they are just dropped off at the door, and then we have to pay to have it hauled off. We appreciate your cooperation. Silver Sneakers On Zoom

Balsam Grove is using a Zoom class to continue our Silver Sneakers program. We have participants from Balsam Grove, Silversteen, Brevard, Detroit and Holden beach who meet Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for visiting and exercise. If you have Silver Sneakers, it’s free. If not, it costs $5 per session. All you need is a device that connects to the internet and the Zoom app. We’ll even help you figure out the technology if you need help. Upcoming Events

Please wear a facemask and social distance for yourself as well as for others if you plan to be out and about. There are no community events taking place at this time due to COVID-19.
