Costume Store Reports Normal Sales Despite Virus – Brevard, NC

Penny Lane Exchange is in its 23rd year of business, and its owner said there hasn't been a Halloween season quite like it is occurring this year.

The store, which moved to its current location on Broad Street in downtown Brevard in 2014, is the go-to costume shop in downtown.

Penny Lane's owner, Laura Minerd, said costume sales have been relatively normal this year even though many people's Halloween plans are up in the air.

Both Minerd and one of her employees, Ash Masters, said people just seem excited to have an excuse to do something new.
