Agnes Lance Curto, better known as “Mom Curto,” 88, passed away peacefully Oct. 22, 2020, with her family by her side.

Born in Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Alvin and Myrtle Murry Lance. In addition to her parents, her husband, Henry, and sons, Randy and Ken, also preceded her in death.

She was a God fearing, hard working mother who raised six strong men. She faced life with a unique sense of humor. She always had a word of advice to share and always spoke her mind. She loved her family above all.

She was much loved by her children, Dewey Joe, Donnie (Marina), Ronnie, Henry and Bobbie; a cherished grandmother to ShaKeitha and Justin, DJ and Allie, and Austin and Rebecca, and loving great-grandmother to Reagan and Graham; as well as beloved sister to Bernice Brown; Teresa Curto and Betty Curto, two ladies whom she always thought of as daughters; and many nephews and nieces, who loved her. All survive her.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020, at Mac McCall Cemetery in the Silversteen Community of Lake Toxaway.
