Combine License And Plate Offices

I don’t know how often the Secretary of State actually visits the local offices, but if you are new to the area, you may need a compass and a seeing eye dog to find the offices here in Brevard. Both the drivers’ license office and the license plate office are at opposite ends of the city. They both are cracker box offices, which are totally uncomfortable and not healthy.

It may be better if they combined both departments, house them in the same building and cross-train the folks so they are able to handle both agencies.

I’m sure there are more suitable buildings in Brevard that could comfortable house those agencies. One place that could accommodate them would be the property at the far end of the Ingles’ store. There’s plenty of parking, it’s wheelchair accessible and centrally located. I’m sure there are others. I don’t know if the city planning board has looked into the possibilities, but maybe they should, as well as the Secretary of State.

It would be a win-win for both the folks and employees.
