Last updated 11/2/2020 at 3:42pm

Last week the Transylvania County Rescue Squad (TCRS) made three swift-water rescues on flooded roads after the rainfall from Hurricane Zeta.

In each rescue, the rescue squad deployed boats to save stranded drivers who had attempted to drive through a flooded roadway.

The rescue attempts were completed safely, with no injuries reported.

On Oct. 29, TCRS responded to the Windover Farms area of Island Ford Road to rescue two stranded vehicles, and TCRS crews rescued two drivers by boat.

TCRS Chief Dale Whitlock said crews made another swift water rescue later on Wilson Road.
