Chamber Launches Holiday Photo Contest – Brevard, NC

Last updated 11/16/2020 at 3:05pm

In lieu of the annual Christmas Parade, the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber is offering a photo contest and “Virtual Picture Parade” this holiday season, so the community can share and connect with each other safely and have some fun along the way.

The chamber’s “Together in Transylvania Holiday Photo Contest” is open to all past parade participants, as well as any businesses, nonprofits, clubs or organizations located in Transylvania County that would like to participate.

Each group is invited to take a photo of their staff, a holiday float or creative holiday display, and submit the photo with a special holiday message by Dec. 1.

Six digital holiday frame options are available to add an extra holiday touch to each photo submission. Once all entries are received, special Chamber elves will create a virtual “Picture Parade,” which will be available for viewing on Dec. 11.

The public will be invited to vote for their favorite photo, and the photo that receives the most votes will be the Public Choice Winner.

A team of judges will select additional winners for the funniest/silliest, most festive and most creative categories.

The competition winners will be announced on Dec. 18.

Prizes totaling $450 will be awarded to the winners of the public choice, funniest/silliest, most festive and most creative categories.

Full details, including the photo submission form, can be found on the Chamber website at For more information, contact Willow Walker at (828) 883-3700 or by email at [email protected]
