This pertains to our most recent presidential election. Be not afraid! The people my husband and I met while we were working the poll at the VFW were impressive, and we actually had fun while we learned more about Transylvania County.

To the woman who came with her children, you are brave, for you shared that you had never voted before. Your courage has inspired us. We hope you did get registered to vote.

To the other poll workers who were voting for the opposite party, we appreciated that we talked about life. We did not talk about our candidates. We simply became interested in one anoth...
